phenothiazine, chlorpormazine, dozapine: block absorption of dopamine, targets positive symptoms

MAO inhibitors: inhibit breakdown of serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine - increase neurotransmitter

SSRI/prozac: block serotonin reuptake, takes 4 weeks+ to take effect
has fewer side effects - bc targets fewer neurons, weightgain, less sexual interest
concerns - can lead to jitters/akathesia. If sets in too soon then get jitters before antidepression, can lead to suicide

last resort, used to reenergize neural networks
concern: memory loss, seizure, free will?
procedure: 10 min, painless, patient asleep
TMS: knock out some parts, jumpstart brain neural network
