info zones
-
types of info zones
to inform: To inform you about the things in the world it is verified fact based and must be neutral
-
-
to persuade: To take a certain point of view and convince you to take the same point of view is often bias towards their point of view but it requires evidence
to sell: to try and convince you to buy a product or service side note obviously they want to sell you stuff its just an ad or commercial
to document: to record an occurrence often unedited and raw information you do not always have context for the situation you are seeing
misinformation
impostor content: using a fake brand or logo to support something or to use something like a fake tweet
-
-
false context: is when someone takes a real picture or video or quote and puts in a fake context like using a picture of a crying person and saying its because of this political event but the picture has nothing to do with that event
-
fabricated content: misinformation entirely made up designed to look real like a fake article about a political rival
-
satire: it is generally comical used to make fun of a certain point of view or political group or person the problem with this type of misinformation is that is can be mistaken for the real thing
-
bias
-
religious bias christian vs catholic or atheist somethings like a christian camp is probably made for christian youth
-
gender bias men vs women an example would be a toy company have a bias for boy toys being work based
-
national or regional so state vs federal examples would be having state pride such as Texans having the lone star state flag
-
racial bias black vs white examples of this would be would be black lives matter or anything along the lines of race like how a book about black culture is probably aimed towards African Americans
-
business bias so corporate vs non corporate again a lot of polices rather favor big corporate businesses or the public
-
-
info zones are in sections because there are a variety of information groups and you cant lump entertainment in with something that was created to inform so the purpose of info zones is to create groups for the different types of information because all the different types of information and all their different purposes
misinformation was created because when people are involved they often or uninformed or are just lying
bias is around because people just don get along so with each of the sections they get backed by different people from different backgrounds ya know ya know
