Parenting Styles
Permissive
Parents who submit to their child's desires, make few demands and use little punishments
Example1: Parent mildly tells child that what she did was not such a good idea, and she shouldn't do it in the future.
Example 2: Allows the child to regulate his own activities/behaviors as mich as possible.
Pros
-
Negotiation with child, but parent has final say
-
-
-
-
Authoritarian
-
Example 1: A child asks for another snack and the parents refuses right away because it violates the one snack rule.
Example 2: Parent tells child that she must go to her room and stay there for the rest of the day, and that she is going to lose access to her favorite blanket, the one she sleeps with every night and during naps.
-
Democratic
-
Example 1: When a child asks for another snack the parent offers healthy options instead of letting the child eat whatever they want.
Example 2: Parents explains why her brother Alejandro was going to be upset and tells her that must go to her room for an hour as punishment

I would choose democratic because they explain why you can’t do things and they are More communicative than the other styles.
