African Wild Dog
: The African wild dog is a canid native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest of it's family in Africa. African Wild Dogs are expert hunters. They primarily prey on large mammals such as warthogs and numerous species of Antelope. They also eat rodents such as lizards, birds, and insects.

: The Northwest African Cheetah is native to the Sahara desert and the Sahel. They hunt and eat antelopes, Dorcas gazelles, rhim gazelles and dama gazelles. They are also fast animals.

The Sahel has a tropical, hot steppe climate. The climate is hot, dry, and sunny. Sometimes the climate is somewhat windy all year long. The climate is dry for a very long period of time and a short rainy season. The Sahel rarely experiences cold temperatures.
