Impact of aid
Nigeria receives international aid despite economic and industrial development many people are still poor and without vital needs e.g safe water, sanitation and health clinics. they recive 4% of total aid to africa and in 2013 aid represented 0.5 of there gross national income.
-500 million dollars has funded local bussnesis so Nigeria does not have to rely on oil so much.
-The UK have provided health education and HIV program in rural areas
-NGO has provided anti-mosquito nets and education on malaria.
-USAID funded community care and orphan help in Nigeria.
-The USA has helped provided protection against the spread of aids.
Aduwan health centre
The community of Aduwan in the state of Kaduna where they did not have a health centre and used a small shop in the village. The area had high incidence of HIV/ Aids.
With the support of ActionAid and funds from the world bank to build a health clinic. the new clinic had trainers that spoke to mothers about the importance of immunising there child against polio. They also test for HIV and immunise children against polio.

Changing Quality of life
Improvements
- More reliable better-paid jobs in manufacturing health care and education
-Higher disposable income to spend on education, food and clothes.
- Improvements in infrastructure such as roads.
-Better access to safe water and better diet so attendance improves.
-Reliable electricity supplying lighting and heating making it easier for children to do homework.
-Better quality health care with more doctors and better equipment.
Problems
Despite clear improvements, there are still a number of the population living without safe water and basic sanitation. Corruption is a major factor of how money from oil has been used. Now Nigeria's over-dependence on oil could lead them to problems in the future.
