Cairns
That night we got to cairns. While we were walking to supper We noticed there were enormous bats flying in the sky, and there were tons. There were hotels that would have a lot of bats around them and they were flying right over our heads. It was awful. At supper we went to outback jacks ad had normal food.

What we didn't know: There was a storm down in sydney that was working its way up the coast the the ocean water was extremely rough
We got on the boat it was pretty bumpy but wasn't all that bad. And we picked up more people on the way out to the reef. Hours off shore.
Then we kept going and the water started getting very very very rough things were falling over. There was tremendous waves that we would go down in then it would be crashing on top. (it was a big 3 level ship)
It got so rocky that people started getting sick. CONSTANTLY. There were people throwing up left and right all over the boat. The staff was running around with more vomit bags and were running full ones across to throw them away. Just out of our group 40 out of the 50 got sick. My mom and I were lucky and didn't get sick but Everyone near us were. Apparently Jenna passed out too.
Then once we finally got done with ride. (which is easily the most disgusting and terrible thing I have ever witnessed) The entire boat smelled like vommit.
Then we finally got to the big platform we we docked the ship and got off. We immediately had to go snorkeling because they had us at times.
When we got out there I automatically knew this wasn't going to be good. The water was so rough it was really had to swim and keep up. The marine-biologist we paid extra for had a really think accent so I could understand her. I also never had time to look down into the water because I was focusing on swimming or trying to listen to her.
Then we got back into the boat and I was so over it. We then got on a glass bottom boat that traveled around and that was really fun because we saw a sea turtle. Then we went snorkeling again in their roped off section and the water was calmer and I actually saw stuff. We also ate lunch which I just ate bred because their food is the absolute worst. Then we went back, the way back was so much smoother.
The next day we took and train ride through the mountains and right by water falls. It was really cool. Then we made our way up to the village in the mountains. It was really cool but to go down we had to take a sky lift all the way back down It was all glass and scary.

Then since we had to get up at at 2:30 we never went asleep so we could sleep on the long flight home.
Journey back home
We left the hotel at 2:30 and I was crying a lot because I didn't want to go home we also had breakfast

The flight from cairns to Brisbane was bad I wasn't feeling good but I slept so I never got sick. They also gave us another breakfast
We then left Brisbane at 5:30 a.m. June 20th then landed in LA after a 15 ish hour flight at 6 a.m. same day
-
-
We then landed in LA and we had to wait in the airport for a while because American Airline sold some of the other peoples tickets.

We were traveling home for over 40 hours and I was up for 24 hours before that so I had been us for 2 and 2/3 of a day with very little sleep.
Whitsundays
The next morning we got on a big boat to go take a cruise around the Whitsundays (the whitest beach in the world).

We did alot of hiking around hills and stuff to get down the the actual beach on the way down there was a look out. It was so unreal. The water was a light teal color and the sand was pure white.
We then got down to the beach and the first thing I did was take off my shoes. The sand is so fine it feels like powdered sugar.
And we went into the water, found some shells
Then we got back on and had lunch and continued to sail around and dance, talk, and have fun. I talked to one of the Australian workers and she laughed at some things I said because we pronounce it differently
This lasted all day long so we got to be on the water while the sun was setting it was so beautiful.
That night we went down to the towns strip because Tim knew a lady who would let us try a didgeridoo

Sydney
getting of the flight, feeling excited, noticing differences

Being in a bad mood throughtout the day (lesson: I learned not to stay mad about things because I was in a bad mood when I was in Australia and I regret that because I should of taken more pictures, been happier, and absorbed more of it

Tangalooma
Then we traveled out to Moreton bay which is the worlds 3rd largest sand island the entire island is owned by the resort Tangalooma
-
-
-
-
Then we took a hike to to another part of the island where there was a bunch of crashing waves on the rocks
-
The view at the light house was beautiful between the deep blue of the pacific ocean, the orange and beige rock, and the deep green of the bushes and big trees
That night we took a hike up on the mountains/big hills on the island. There was really big staircases of steps and there were tons of hills and up and downs then we finally made it out to the beach that we walked along
