AFRICAN GEOGRAPHY
Sahara Desert
Natural Resources: Some natural resources are dates, trees, rocks, sand, some water in oasis, gravel, and oil.
Animals: One very helpful animal that was used to cross the sahara desert is the camel. Camels have soft so that they can go quickly in the sand. It can go for as long as 17 days without eating or drinking.

Geography:The Sahara desert can vary in geography with some places having lots of rocks and not much sand and some places having not many rocks and lots of sand, and places that have a good amount of water.
Climate: The sahara desert is very hot, and very little rainfall happens. The temperature can even get to more than 110 degrees. In the night, it gets very cold though to contrast the hot of the day.
Savanna
Climate: The dry season is long, and only about four inches of water drop during the dry season, fifteen to twenty five inches of rain can fall during this period.
Natural Resources: Some natural resources are acacia trees, grass and during the wet season there is some water
Animals: One of the animals that lives in the Savanna is the African elephant. The african elephant is the largest land animal. African elephants also have very large ears. A fun fact is that they cannot jump.

Geography: The savanna is a rolling grassland with shrubs and isolated trees. Savannas are also sometimes called tropical grasslands.The savannas in africa are usually covered in acacia trees.
Mediterranean Coast
Climate:
The climate for the mediterranean coast was warm dry summers and mildly cold and wet winters, which rainwater was used for things like farming and drinking.
Animals: This is an example of one of the many different species of marine life in the Mediterranean Coast, the Red toothed triggerfish

Natural Resources: The saltwater here could be boiled to get salt, which could be used to preserve food such as meat, and the fish that lived here could be caught cooked and eaten.
Geography: The mediterranean coast is by northern africa, europe, and asia. The mediterranean coast mostly spans over northern africa, and second mostly europe.
Sahel
Animals:One animal that lives in the sahel is the giraffe, also known as the 'spotted camel' to the Romans. The average giraffe can reach up to 18 feet. It can also gallop along at 30 miles per hour.

Geography: The sahel is very flat in some places and to the north of it is the sahara.The sahel lies 1300 feet i elevation, so it is pretty high up.
Climate: The Sahel is known by its constant temperatures of 90 to 110 degrees. The sahel is rarely cold, but the 'coldest season the temperature can get down to 89 degrees.

Rainforest
Animals: One of the animals that lives in the african rainforests is the orangutan. They live most of their lives in the trees and rarely come down. The adult male can weigh up to 220 pounds and females can weight half of that.
