COMPARE AND CONTRAST BLOOD, INTERSTITIAL FLUID AND LYMPH
Interstitial Fluid: Interstitial fluid is made up of areolar connective tissue and it also had a lot of water in it. The fluid between cells, is primarily water. Interstitial fluid takes up fluid, waste, escaped proteins, cancerous cells, bacteria and viruses that leak out of our blood capillaries.
Lymph: It’s taken up into the lymphatic vessels. Interstitial fluid that flows out of our blood capillaries and enters the lymphatic capillaries becomes a lymph.
Blood: It’s a connective tissue. Blood includes plasma and different cells. Blood also flows in capillaries that are very leaky.

STRUCTURE, FUNCTION AND MAJOR LOCATIONS OF LYMPH NODES
-
Location of lymph Nodes: Axillary Region, Inguinal Region, Cervical Region and Mammary Region.
Structure of Lymph Nodes: Lymph can travel in (afferent/arriving) and there is also 1 or 2 Efferent (exiting) lymph vessels. Lymph nodes are made up of reticular tissue. This provides a lot of space.
