Discussion
My interpretations and opinions. Clearly stating why they are acceptable and how they are consistent or fit in with previously published knowledge on the topic
The drainage is heavily diluted when large storm events come through and the emergency spraying isn't having a harmful effect when the site is going to be saturated anyway
The ET could possibly be higher. The model is limited by PET and the drainage has some negative errors. ET is likely already at its capacity and is not helped by irrigation in drought times unless it is one of the wells where the irrigation had more of an influence on the WTD
The WTD is influence by irrigation when it is surrounded by irrigation fields. The general WTD is influenced by topography and the shallow aquifer depth
OR the volume of irrigation is so localized to the areas where it is sprayed, that is does not greatly increase the WTD across the watershed. The mounding effect, whatever is left over from irrigation water use by plants, may be noticeable in some areas but they are limited to central areas of irrigation
Slow rate irrigation adds water to the vadose zone soil moisture, many times without it reaching the saturated zone? Maybe. Use a reference of irrigation adding the irrigation return flow only when irrigation exceeds ET
Specific: my findings. Answering the questions: (hypotheses to test to answer questions) Question is how does irrigation impact hydrological processes within this watershed? How does emergency spray and large storms affect the ability of the site to treat water? How can the site maintain its water treatment capacity and replant the trees?

Change in storage is not changed by irrigation on an annual scale, but it is on a monthly scale in DRY YEARS
