This helps the student feel engaged with their achievements and helps them focus, especially at the beginning fo the day. It will hold students accountable and help them take their work seriously. It is important to stay calm and use enthusiasm. You don’t want the child to feel like they are being punished.

Parent contact is important for teachers to utilize as we need to keep in direct contact with the parents. Forming a decent relationship with the parents will help the student succeed. Thus, if you see a student struggling the intervention to be used for Middle School students would be to notify the parents. This allows the parents to help the students complete things at home, or it can give the teacher a better understanding of what is going on at home.
Some students are overwhelmed by a lot of information or students who are dealing with ADD/ADHD may have issues with understanding assignments. Thus, if we break down the assignment in smaller steps, it will help them feel like their academics are more attainable. They are less stressed and it increases their engagement.
