Phishing Scam:
A scam performed in the hopes of obtaining personal information from people. Usually done through the process of asking for personal information by appearing as official companies.

16 Stores have had their data breached within the past year. It was due to flaws in the payment systems of the companies either online or in-store. Credit Card data is what was breached.This negatively impacts the businesses as the trust in the company is lost by the customers.

SSL/ TLS:
An encryption layer for HTTP that uses public key encryption to send messages across the web. Websites with SSL/ TLS are seen as "HTTPS"
Firewall:
Software that runs on computers that indicates what can go through based on a set of rules.
Personal Protection
Antivirus Software:
Software you can install on your computer that identifies and protects you from a large list of known viruses.
Cause of Cybercrime
Virus:
A program on a computer that is intended to do things the owner does not want it to do. Used to gain control of computers and steal or delete personal files.
