25th October 1918: Naval Commanders at Kiel decided to fight the British fleet in one last suicidal attempt - but soldiers mutinied
26th Oct - 5th November 1918 - The Kaiser didn't send the army to crush the mutiny and so it was followed by demonstrations and strikes
6th November 1918 - Soldiers's and workers's councils had taken control in many cities. The Social Democrats were the leading party in the Reichtag. They were the workers party and eventually supported the revolution to prevent it becoming extremist
7th November 1918 - Social Democrat leaders sent an ultimatum to the Kaiser, that unless he abdicated they would join the revolution
