Enigma Machine

How It Works
Would take entered letter,
and pass it through different rotors.
Each rotor randomized it to a new letter.
It would then hit the reflector, and
start the process through the rotors
again, finally lighting up a letter on the lightboard.
usually 3-5 Rotors
-
After WWII ended,
15 rotor Enigma Machines plans were found.
These would have prolonged the war by
many years if they were produced.
-
Everytime a rotor was passed through, it would rotate so the letter wouldn't pass back from being coded and decode itself. A Trick: at a different set place for the wheels, each rotor would rotate twice instead of once.
