Ethical Issues
"So Called Bottle Blondes" the article blames women for getting their hair dyed and that's why natural blondes died out.
-
This article points to mostly women. The article has a picture of a woman up top and on the side. It focuses more on that, even though it must be from both parties to have a blonde baby.
"They suggest that dyed-blondes are more attractive to men who choose them as partners over true blondes." (BBC, Sept. 2002)
Reactions
"The bottle Blondes" makes it sound that women lied about their natural hair, primarily since the writing focuses on women. This frustrates me that the issue is women's fault, but no other gender.
When they pointed out Ann Widdecombe to being a bottled blonde.Even if you knew that she dyed her hair to get that color, why is she one of the causes? That seems out of place to have it there.
The quote where they say men are more attractive over bottle blondes than regular blondes with no additional research shows bias.

Research and Reporting
If they had done the research on how many blondes are actually natural in the world would help benefit their causes.
-
Survey how many people knew what their spouse's hair color was before they had a child or got married.
-
Research the likelihood of having children are to have blonde hair with two parents that hold the gene and one that doesn't.
Survey men/women on preference in looks to a signifiant other or research a similar study that interviews both genders.
Thoughts on the Article
This article seems to be written by a male writer. With the comments about bottle blondes and women not being honest makes me believe the writer distrust women.
This writer did little to no research on the topic. There are no resources at the end, and nothing is cited. They claim a lot of things that bottle blondes are causing these issues and men are more attractive to bottle blondes.
The other does a problem and quickly writes his solution of women not dying their hair. They didn't put any effort from the article, because again no resources, no citations, and not even an controlled study.
