Making Proteins has the steps : Transcription, Translation, and RNA processing

Structure
Strand : DNA nucleotides: consists of nitrogenous bases (TAGC) , sugar deoxyribose, and a phosphate group
-
-
Replication
Origins of application: short DNA with specific nucleotide sequences Proteins recognize the nucleotide sequences, and attach to the DNA , separate the strands, and make a bubble
Replication of DNA is at both directions until molecule copied , multiple bubbles form and lower the amount of time needed to replicate a longer molecule At the end: Replication fork by helicases ( Y region where parent strands are unwound) .
DNA polymerase III makes a new strand by reading nucleotides on template strand and adding one nucleotide the T to an A
The lagging strand is made by DNA Polymerase III , making Okazaki fragments, then the gaps left , are filled by ligase , joining sugar phosphate backbones into a DNA strand
Helicases : enzymes that untwist the double helix at the replication forks, seperating 2 parental strands so they are temperate strands
-
Repairing
Mismatch repair- enzymes remove and replace incorrectly paired nucleotides that have resulted form replication errors
-
DNA: deoxyribonucleic acid. Hereditary material that contains 4 chemical bases AGTC that bair with one another to make base pairs, also mentioned in structure
Chromatin is is the nucleus, DNA is packed by proteins that make it. Chromatin has to undergo condensation to create chromosomes ( containing DNA molecule and associated protein molecules)
