Most superficial layer that secretes minerals, corticoids, and makes kidneys re-absorb water and sodium
Zona Fasciculata
Secretes glucocorticoids (helps keep blood glucose levels normal and dealing with stress, both long term and short term)
Zona Reticularis
Secrets both glucocorticoids and androgen (secretes in other tissue that later becomes testosterone and estrogen)
