LET THE WILL OF JEHOVAH TAKE PLACE
Do we love the brothers and sisters of the congregation?
Of course!
We love Jehovah and we appreciate everything that comes from him.
And we love our spiritual brothers and sisters.
It is for that reason that we are gathered here.
So we want to appreciate them as Jehovah values them.
We can show them affection by really caring for their well-being.
We can encourage them to persevere in the most beautiful and precious thing we share.
Love for others.
That's why we gather at meetings!
To progress spiritually.
To remain stable in the faith.
To encourage us to do more by creating opportunities to proclaim the good news of God's kingdom.
Love for Jehovah God.
So we want to appreciate them as Jehovah values them.
However, even with good intentions, we can discourage our brothers from engaging more for the kingdom of God.
It happened also in the past with the apostle Paul.
Let's read together what happened.
ACTS 21:-8-12
Listening to the words of the prophet, the brothers worried about the destiny of the apostle Paul.
Certainly we too would be worried knowing that a dear spiritual brother would face persecution.
ACTS 21:13
The apostle Paul remained focused on doing God's will and continuing in any way the ministry assigned by Christ Jesus.
Even the brothers should have done the same.
But yes, we are imperfect.
How did the members of the congregation react? And how did the apostle Paul respond?
We must love our spiritual brothers and sisters.
By doing this kind of service they will be really happy. We will be too.
However, there are situations in which we could become sentimentalists, or even reason as if the kingdom of God could not support its loyal ones even now.
For example
Even if you have the opportunity to serve where the need is greater, why should you do it? you have your home, your habits, but do you know how much trouble you'll have to face?
By now you are advanced with age, do not complicate your life by doing more, leave room for young people.
You must accept any kind of work that is proposed to you. Today the working situation is difficult.
This is not the way of thinking of someone with faith.
As human beings, sometimes we are tormented by doubts.
Will he do it?
If we do our part in harmony with theocratic provisions, there will be no doubt. We are doing God's will.
I'll make it?
Finally we could say and do what the congregation did with the apostle Paul.
ACTS 21:14
We want to make our faith and that of the members of the congregation: stronger.
For this reason we must encourage them to commit themselves to the kingdom of God.
