-
roads were poorly built, they flooded easily and were muddy.
no railway system, only wooden tracks and pulled by horses.
no motorized transportation, long distance travels were made on horse drawn carriages.
Negative Impacts
Pollution
Air pollution from the smoke negatively impacts the environment. The emission of carbon dioxide significantly impacts the environment. The pollution also impacts the health of the citizens. Also the honking from the cars creates sound pollution.
-
Fuel
The price of the gas is very expensive. Also, it is a fossil fuel, which is harmful to the environment. Nowadays, transport burns most of the world's petroleum.
Space
As more roads and railways needed to be built, many natural habitats were consumed in order to clear up more space for these things to be built.
Climate Change
The pollution caused climate change, which is a very long term effect. It impacts our lives and will continue to impact peoples' lives in the future.
