What is culture
Culture encompasses a group’s religion, language, cuisine , social habits, music and arts

- Western cultures->Europe and the USA, American states
- 300 different languages spoken in the US
- Eastern culture-> Far East Asia and the Indian subcontinent
- People show less of a distinction between secular society and religious philosophy
- Latin culture-> Spanish-speaking nations
- Middle Eastern-> Arabic speakers
- Birthplace of Judaism, Christianity and Islam
- African culture-> large number of ethnic groups (54 countries)
- Beliefs, values and knowledge
- Artwork, languages, literature
- Society: how people organize themselves
- These people interact more with each others than with outsiders
