        Students will measure, estimate, and record the lengths of their materials and finished product throughout construction.

        Collect first-hand data and organize it using:

        • charts
        • lists

        Students will be collecting and recording data about their constructed invention throughout construction. Things like the number of materials used for the creation of the product, the effectiveness of the product, previous trials and errors, and lists of materials used in the final product will be recorded in a variety of ways.
        
        Construct, label and interpret bar graphs to solve problems.

        Students will use and interpret bar graphs to track their inventing progress and measure the levels of success in both the construction and function of their product.
