Mrs. Robertson's 3rd Grade Math Class I will do preassessment and use KWL to determine what my students know, what they want to know, & what they have learned. My classroom will be setup in small table groups with students from groups A, B, & C. Students in groups B & C will help peer mentor group A.
Opportunity Students Group A: I have 5 students that are struggling; 2 don't comprehend the material & 3 have language barriers that are preventing them from comprehending the material. I will provide group & individual tutoring 5 days a week. There will be two groups: group 1 will be for the 2 students that struggle comprehending & group 2 is for the 3 students with the language barriers. Group 1 will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 3:20 PM & group 2 will meet on Monday, Wednesdays, & Fridays at 3:20 PM. After group tutoring, each student will meet with an individual tutor for 30 minutes. Each student will be assigned a peer mentor.

Opportunity Students Group B: I have 12 students that are familiar with the lesson, but need additional assistance. My T/A will provide tutoring on Tuesday & Thursdays at 3:20 PM. After the group tutoring, the students will be paired up & will have group tutoring for 30 minutes. Each pair of students will be assigned a peer mentor

Opportunity Students Group C: I have 5 students that did well on the pre-assessment and answered the most difficult questions correctly. I will ask them to become peer mentors & tutors.
