 This portrays that in Bulgaria's democratic politics an important decision can't be made by a single person(Neno Dimov in this case) and for a concession to be made there are other political aspects that should be observed first.

"New protests "for" and "against" the expansion of the ski zone in Bulgaria’s winter resort Bansko were held in the morning on 28th of December"

 This situation expresses how an investment  project  has the ability to turn into a political issue. Such separation of ideas in society could not only result in protests but also overthrow of power and anarchy.

"In the event of a possible investment interest"

  These words show that a democratic government always prefers to stay out of " war zone" and keep its neutrality by not inversing in a controvertial project as it may cause riots. According to the article the government does not plan on investing in the expansion of the zone and this will happen only if there is outside interest in investment.

Society

"Residents from Bansko area requested the construction of a second cabin lift"

The local society supports the idea as it realises it could increase its' quality of life. A second lift cabin could attract more tourists which could lead to a higher income for locals who mainly provide for themselves through toursim. This project will also result in more job opportunities for locals as builders of facilities and/or a second cabin lift. Society feels that it will benefit by it developing economically due to this expansion.

"At 10:00, they blocked the main E-79 road near Simitli for about 20 minutes."

        This probably resulted in some short - term difficulties for travellers and caused rather small but not insignificant problems. It may have resulted in some personal issues for individuals in society due to delaying them for potentially important chores and actions. It may have resulted in a loss of a life if someone was in a life threatening situation due to the ,,butterfly effect" .

,,Residents of Bansko, Razlog and the surrounding area temporarily closed the international road E-79 near Simitli asking for the ski zone to be expanded"

       This action shows that the majority of  local society agrees and portrays that people have the power to unite and have an impact on important decisions that are made. It shows that projects that impact society make it stand up and use protesting as a way to share its ideas.

Environment

,,environmentalists insisted on observing the environmental legislation and preserving Pirin as a unique natural site"

      Enviromentalists insist on not doing the expansion because it will clear a lot of vegetation as trees and other plants will be eradicated for the planned zone. They know that the realisation of this process will result in less flora, therefore less natural habitat for fauna and could possibly cause the extinction of vital species, even ones that are endangered and/or endemites.

,,Ecologists protested"

       These people who appreciate nature also may protest because they understand that long term this expansion will have a negative impact on human lives too. Less trees will mean less pure oxygen for us. More construction will pollute the air we breathe and contaminate rivers that could reach us not only in the form of drinking water but also through consumption of animals that are contaminated due to living in such waters.

,,Ecologists (...) against plans to build new facilities."

            Ecologists as the people who know the possible harmful effects of construction are against the building of new facilities in the area. They know that such actions would be detrimental to the environment as extraction of  raw materials needed for construction releases dangerous chemical substances in the atmosphere and many trees are cut down for mines and more to be created. Building will also mean increasing of landfill waste, possible pollution of water if waste is thrown improperly.
