Bias and Unbias: Bias usually indicates partiality to a group of people. For example, if a news heavily supports an election candidate and speak bad of the other, they are said to be biased to the candidate that they support. Bias is present everywhere, take Fox News. It is heavily biased towards the republic candidates, while CNN News is biased towards democratic candidates. Juries in a court who are somewhat related to the victim or the convicted would be in support of them and would mostly rule in favour for their family member. Unbiased sources give structured arguments, and list pro's and con's for both sides. In G.D, we've learnt to identify such sources, and what they really are. For example, let's take a news at two news sources, both unrealistic though.
ABC News: We believe that girls should have a curfew at night and may only go out with adults, while boys can go out at any time.
DEF News: We believe that both boys and girls should be allowed to go down at night, however they should take their phone with them in case of an emergency.
We saw that ABC news is clearly biased, and believes that girls are weak characters and shouldn't be allowed to go at night. However, DEF news is unbiased as they believe that both girls and boys can go out at night, with some precaution.
