Types of Adverbs
Adverbs of Place
Adverbs of place tell us where something happens. Adverbs of place are usually placed after the main verb or after the clause that they modify.
For ex- 1: John looked around but he couldn't see the monkey.
2: They built a house nearby.
Adverbs of Manner
Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens. They are usually placed either after the main verb or after the object.
For ex- 1: He swims well.
2: He ate the chocolate cake greedily.
Adverbs of Time
Adverbs of time tell us when an action happened, but also for how long, and how often.
For ex- 1: I will call you later.
2: I saw that movie last year.
Adverbs of Frequency

For ex- 1: I went to India many times before.
2: I always wait for her but she does not even care.
Adverbs of Quantity
Adverbs of Quantity modify the quantity or intensity of an adjective, a verb, or another adverb. Quantity adverbs typically are placed immediately before the words they modify.
For ex- 1: The coffee was too hot for me.
2: Her face was extremely red with shy when her teacher appreciated her.
Adverbs of interrogative
In interrogative adverbs why, where, how, & when are placed at the beginning of a question.
For ex- 1:Why is the garden in such a mess? 
2: What is in this bag? 
Relative adverbs
The relative adverbs where, when & why can be used to join sentences or clauses.
For ex- 1: Do you see the cat which is siting on the table.
2: I told you about the woman who gave us some chocolates one day.
