Theoretical approaches to curriculum
Course
An integrated series of teaching-learning experiences, whose ultimate aim is to lead the learners to a particular state of knowledge.
The purpose that the student knows and understands the different ways of approaching, knowing, studying and intervening in reality, taking into account the logic and method of scientific research formulated by the quantitative and qualitative paradigms.
Syllabus
Syllabus is essentially a statement of what should be taught, year by year through language syllabuses often also contain points about the method of teaching and the time to be taken
It is one that refers to the program or scheme of an academic year.
Curriculum
The definition of this topic is complex because there are as many definitions as there are writers in the field.
This element is of vital importance to guarantee the quality of education throughout the Spanish territory, as well as to ensure that all Primary, ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) and Baccalaureate students finish each academic year equally well prepared.
Approaches
The methodological approach sought to coordinate and achieve the proposed objectives of identification and preliminary formulation of specific energy development projects.
Quantitative approach
Use data collection to test a hypothesis based on numerical measurement and statistical analysis, to establish patterns of behavior, and to test theories.
Qualitative Approach
These are small-scale studies that only represent themselves.
Four categories of language teaching activities
Ways of presenting: techniques
Brainstorming
Mnemonic Rules
Make your own notes
Image-based methods
Underline what's important
Ways of practicing the language: exercises
Exercising is essential, that is, the practice of activities of various types and levels of complexity that allow the student to consolidate learning and verify that they have assimilated it correctly.
It uses different types of activities, which allows you to approach the content from different points of view and work on different skills.
Ways of organizing: syllabuses
Make explicit the general framework and scope of each course according to the curriculum and PYP.
They allow to be clear about the location and importance of the subject in relation to the study plan, the curricular structure and the professional profile.
They account for academic and disciplinary trends, in accordance with their training structure, and give a differential seal to the program, which makes it necessary to constantly review and update
Ways of defining needs: approaches
Technology has become something natural in the daily lives of students and they rely on it to manage their lives, so they do not conceive that studying should be done differently.
