Diversity - when teams are homogenous it is easier to manage relationships. Heterogenous teams are more diverse

Highly cohesive teams have members that value their role ad try to maintain positive relationships with other team members, they tend to follow the norms
Culturally diverse teams have more difficulty learning how to work well together - they struggle more in the early stages of group development
Culturally diverse teams however provide more perspectives and experiences that can help in problem solving
Cohesiveness is the degree to which team members are attracted to and motivated to remain part of a team

Laissez faire gives no direction to teamwork,offers opinion only when asked, doesnt seem to be in charge.
Democratic involves group members in planning , they ask people before telling and promotes teamwork

- Coercive power is the power to force compliance by psychological, emotional or physical threats

- Political power comes from the support of groups and networks of influence
- Legitimate power is granted through the organizational hierarchy
- Referent power is based on identification with, imitation of, loyalty to and charm of the leader
