Pedagogy (Teaching that led by the teacher in school)
**Dependence
The learner is fully dependent to the teacher in terms of how the knowledge is applied. (What, how, where and when anything is learned)
Reasons for learning
Every knowledge that has been delivered by the teacher is been trusted by learners. Learners take no account or responsibility for what they have learned.
Focus of learning
learning is subject-centered and relies on a prescribed curriculum.
Motivation for learning
motivation acquires from the outsource/non-related relationship consists of parents, teachers, a sense of competition, etc.
Role of teacher
Pedagogue-plan the learning structure, propose and prepare materials that focus on the effectiveness to achieving the desired results.
Heutagogy (people who determine their learning)
Motivation for learning
Motivation goes along with experiencing the process and perceives the appropriate ways to learn. Learners seek out unexpected circumstances and gaining of 'adaptive competencies'.
Role of teacher
Coach - offer altogether opportunity, context, external importance, and extended intricacy. Develop a culture of teamwork and inquiry.
Focus of learning
learner are enquiry driven - They measure a long-term view of their learning, searching for greater complexity and any possible event.
Reason for learning
Learning is not compulsory sequential or linear. Learners account full responsibility for their learning, accepting challenges, and allows them to grow.
Dependence
Learners are 'problem-finders'. They recognize their goal and become interdependent on those able to help them to guide the path.
Andragogy (Self-teaching learning)
Focus of learning
Learning is based on the achievement of goals, which is focused on the tasks that required cross-disciplinary thinking and shared decision making.
Motivation for learning
Motivation comes naturally someone within. Learners appreciate their self-esteem once their successfully completing challenges.
Reason for learning
Learners looking for guidance/advisor but wish to increase their credibility for their direction of their learning.
Role of teacher
Facilitator- plan challenges and flexible to accept diverse routes to settlement. Pursues meta-cognition in learners.
Dependence
Learners are not dependent on the instructor. They put on effort to make their own decision in the learning, to ensure they able to deliver the desired outcomes that decide by others. They are considered as 'problem solvers'.
