Laissez-faire
Easy-going
Relaxed, supportive, trusts employees to get the work done
Effective when members have a high degree of skill and motivation, a sense of team exists and a routine is established
Ineffective when there is low sense of teamwork and skill, and members are looking for direction
Democratic
Teams
Values input from others, everyone has a voice, cooperative
Effective when time is available, group is motivated, and members are competent and contributing
Ineffective when group is unmotivated, members lack competence, and there is a high degree of conflict
Autocratic
Controlling actions
Direct orders, focus on productivity and goals, quick and decisive
Ineffective when developing teamwork is a goal, members have skill and knowledge and crave spontaneity in their work
Effective when time i limits, group members lack skill and do not know eachother
