PLAGIARISM
is using someone else's ideas or phrasing and representing those ideas or phrasing as our own, either on purpose or through carelessness
Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means
to steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as one's own
to use another's production without crediting the source

Type of Plagiarism
Direct Plagiarism
Direct plagiarism occurs when you copy word for word from one source and put those in your writing deliberately without quoting mark or attribution to the original writer.
Mosaic Plagiarism
When surfing the Internet for any input or information from several websites, you tend to take note or copy sentences and phrases without using quotation mark to acknowledge the original author‘s language, and integrate them in your writing.
Accidental Plagiarism
It happens because you do not know what documentation is and how to do it.
