Step 1: Does the parent tell the teacher or the school that their child requires special education? (ex. S.Y. Hwan's parents telling the school about his medication effects)

Talk with the homeroom teacher, subject partner and your teacher team to confirm the case (parent too if possible). This is especially important as students struggling in a particular language or subject may not always be struggling in another class. In addition, not all physical impairments might affect learning success. 
Is their situation negatively impacting their ability to acquire an education? (SKIP DOWN IF YOU ALREADY COMPLETED STEPS 4 OR 5)
