Certification and Classification
Different countries have different laws on what can be seen and shown
Factors that effect : ratings are: Violence, bad language and scenes of sexual nature
BBFC is the British Board of Film Classification. They rate and classify films before release. The ratings are: U, PG, 12, 12A, 15, 18
PEGI is the Pan European Game Information. They classify all games before they can be released. Ratings are: 3, 7, 12, 16, 18
Data protection
Data protection is about keeping your personal data stored on computers which are safe and secure.
The 8 principles: Personal data must be fairly and lawfully processed, Personal data must be obtained for specified and lawful purposes, personal data must be adequate, relevant and not excessive, Personal data must be accurate and up to date, Personal data must not be kept for longer than necessary, Personal must be processed in line with our rights, Personal data must be held securely, Personal data must not be transferred to other countries outside of the European Area
