Personality
Morals:
Preferences
Likes:
fashion, good alcohol, the absurd, enigmas, watching drama unfold, chick flics, romance novels, gossip, magazine quizzes, obscure 2010s references, psychological horror
Dislikes:
bread, being blamed, when she doesn't understand something, being called out, snobby slytherins, quidditch, being over-estimated, asymmetry done wrong, people who don't respect others' opinions
Overview:
Cassie is first and foremost described as someone who is dramatic and too much to handle at times by her close friends, to others she is just a weird introvert who draws silently in class. It doesn't take much to get close to her, she is willing to listen to all if they're willing to speak. Her teasing and wisecracking side comes out more around her closest friends but she always understands and respects boundaries. This ability to change perspectives quickly and empathize with others without any emotional strain is one of her best attributes and has gained her the respects of a lot of students and almost all the teachers. Despite that, she is still reckless and no longer thinks before acting. She can be as charismatic and charming as she is care-free and cowardly if she really put in any effort but she seldom does so. She has a hard time standing up for herself but will always try to, push her friends to do so. She struggles with her hypocrisy almost daily.

Relationships
Friends
Julia Whitman:
She and Cassie weren't close at first, since neither truly reached towards the other. But when Julia came out as trans and showed more and more signs of gender dysphoria, Cassie fell naturally in the position of her therapist. She helped Julia through most of it, teaching her healthy coping mechanisms and helped her out of past traumas. But it spoiled their friendship, Julia is unable to see her as anything but her clutch and Cassie is afraid of getting any closer in case Julia becomes too needy or dependent. They can't really hang out together anymore and while Cassie wishes to change that she can't seem to find the strength to face her.
Hugo Rivera:
They're best friends. Hugo is the brawl and Cassie is the brains. They always bicker and pick at each other though it looks a lot like Cassie is bullying him because he can never find the right comebacks. They share a very deep connection, understanding each other in a way few would. They know all about the other (sans the reincarnation) and always know what the other is thinking. At the beginning, Hugo used to avoid being with her in public because of her reputation and she always respected that. It's after she befriended the Weasleys that he admitted to their friendship and started exclusively hanging out with her. They started secretly dating in year 7, shortly after the twins dropped out. It was more of a mutual exploration of relationships and sexuality in the safety of a very stable friendship. Neither really felt anything more than a crush but it helped them both figure things out. They had a lot of fun together but quickly understood that they were better as friends and thus broke up. Celeste is the only other person that knew about this. Cassie will later admit it to Fred.
Ruby Song:
they instantly connected over their love for cinema and gossip. They are both particularly chaotic which you would think wouldn't make for a good combo but their shared understanding of socialization and approach to friendships makes them one of the best teams in this friend group. Ruby breaks the ice while Cassie forges deeper relationships, often picking up on the info given while Ruby is busy doing the talking. They get along perfectly but still get in arguments over silly things, but Cassie is often the one to back down.
Elias Powell:
They don't really get along. Cassie is very teasing and Elias is very sensitive. He is often the voice of reason and Cassie feels like he spoils the fun. At times, she finds him judgmental and subjective which can get on her nerves. Elias feels like Cassie doesn't care about what matters and is frustrated at her wasted potential and her insecurities. They don't often clash though, because Cassie quickly learnt that Elias is the type to take it to heart so she holds back most of the time. They make an amazing team for school work though, often getting flying grades and being praised by their teachers for their group assignments.
