Celeste Night
The Life Before
Valerie Rubaskin Sold to an assassin organization at a young age to repay her father's gambling debt. She has little to no memory of her birth parents, and considered her mentor, Vikenti Vasilyev to be a father figure. She was a very efficient assassin, and never failed a mission. Her specialty was primarily as a sniper, but she was also skilled in close range combat. Her only failed mission was her last one, where her appendix burst before she could take the shot and she promptly died.

Celeste Night before regaining the memories of her past life was a spoiled and ill-mannered child due to her overly-doting parents giving her and her sister everything they asked for. While much better at pretending to be nice than her sister, she was genuinely mean spirited and held anyone outside her immediate family in ill-regard.

The Battle of Hogwarts
Celeste (correctly) thinks Hugo is a piece of shit and loves him for it. She regularly beat him up in first and second year but only because he literally asked her to fight him multiple times, and was further angered by her refusal to try out for the quidditch team despite her obvious skill. Hugo has a problem because he knows that Celeste is always holding back, and Celeste has a problem with Hugo being an idiot. They're great friends.
Celeste fears two things: Valerie Rubaskin and an angry Ruby Song.

Julia and Celeste were fairly from the start, having bonded in first year over muggle literature during charms. Julia had a crush on Celeste, which further added to the gender dysmorphia and distanced herself until after the transition. Celeste welcomed her back with welcome arms, while a bit hesitant to hang out due to hurt feelings when Julia first pulled back, as well as the knowledge that Cassie and Julia were not on the best of terms.
