KWL Chart
Students will answer a KWL Chart.
K: Write down all of the food words/phrases/ sentences you know in pinyin or character.
W: Write down some food words you want to learn in this unit.
L: Write down what you learned today as an exit ticket.
Differentiation strategy for the three groups of students
- Students who answered most of the pre-assessment questions correctly.
I will provide them a
new words list and they need to create a Quizlet set and finish the four assignments on Quizlet.
Then students will create a kahoot.
- Students who have some knowledge about the topic but need to develop higher order thinking skills
I will use pictures and flashcards to teach them new words.
Then I will assign them a Quizlet set to learn and they need to finish the four assignments on Quizlet.
- Students who appear to have limited knowledge about the topic
I will use pictures and flashcards to teach them new words.
I will assign a student who answered most, including the most difficult, of the pre-assessment questions correctly to each of them to be their peer helping them to learn.
The students will finish the kahoot that was created by their peers.
All the students will play a card game to review.
All the students will finish a vocabulary assessment
