Kuwait
Teachers would:
Document students behavior (Social emotional) : If the child demonstrated any actions that are not developmentally appropriateat as it pertains to the Creative Curriculum continuumm.
Document students behavior (academically) : When the class has taken the baseline test provided by the teacher (eg. Map scores) and take photographic evidence.
After the inital observation from the counselor there is a meeting with both the teacher and the counselor. They discuss what can be done and if the child needs to be put on a Student Success Plan (ssp).
After a plan is made the teacher and counselor will talk to the administrator and Parents in order to let them know of the plan in order to help the student
Teacher and administration give suggestions to the parents for at home plans and they track the learning in order for the student to be successful and come off of the plan (SSP)
Teacher regularly updates the expectation in order to see the students growth through this process.
When any abnormalities are detected the Teacher notifies the counsellor and they conduct an informal observation the student in the classroom.
Guatemala
Principal has been advised about the situation and student.
Parents are brought in and there is a plan put in place in order to help the student succeed.
Student is also sat with in a different meeting away from the administrators just the parents and teacher. The success plan is discussed for the student takes ownership of their responsibility by signing a contract along with the parents.
Counselor is advised about the situation and student.
Teacher conducts informal assessments on student and makes sure that administrators and counselor is informed.
Bahamas
Teacher makes informal asessment of the child using assignment completion or in completion.
Teacher will then give extra time for assignments and assessments as a way to get the completed work.
If there is improvement the teacher then uses that as a benchmark in order to help the student become successful.
If there is not an improvement a plan is put together for the Student in order to pinpoint what needs to happen.
Teacher then has a meeting with the student to make sure that the goals are set in an attainable way
Parents are also included in this meeting so that the plan can extend to the home.

What practice would I personally use:
In Kindergarten because the development is not full it is still happening so the testing is later.
I do follow the procedure in Kuwait and this is the easiest to follow with a clear accountability.

The plan is called a SSP and this is better for me in order to give autonomy to the learner.
With Kindergarten it is hard to assess unless the child is showing High incidence issues.
I have also tried to continue to be in a learning environment. I have also looked at the research that every teacher should be doing.

Teach children to stretch though a word with a moving target.
Use Invented Spelling and a Developmental Writing Scale to monitor progress

These will help the students and the teacher to have the research so that they are able to gauge how the students are learning and if there is any abnormally.
In the end I would love to continue to work with all the students and they will continue to learn and be engaged with their learning and be empowered.
