Myth of Quetzalcoatl
Tollan grew and prospered
What happen when he arrived
When Quetzalcoatl calmed them
When the creation of the world ended
The gods and humanity were in harmony
Except the God Quetzalcoatl
He was angry to saw humanity being conquered by other gods
He adopt human conditions
To share the god possesses.
They were offering a sacrifice in honor of his brother, Tezcatlipoca
Quetzalcoatl halted the execution
The priest who performed the sacrifice shouted angrily
The sky covered with dark clouds announcing thunder and lightning
He assured them that while he was in the city, Tollan would flourish like no other.
He raised his hands to the sky and the winds began to blow, .
From that moment on, men wanted to worship him as a deity
He rejected any kind of luxury
Invited to them live with humility and to learn with purity of soul.
The god in human form taught them to
cultivate corn seeds
work with jade, gold and obsidian
how to dye cotton
the art of astronomy
Self-sacrifice by pricking themselves with maguey thorns instead
Quetzalcoatl enriched their writing

Promoted the worship of the gods
Tezcatlipoca
Was not happy with his relative’s performance
So he devised an evil plan to destroy his image
Tezcatlipoca disguised himself as an old man and brought a gift to Quetzalcoatl
Quetzalcoatl received it with great joy and humility
Quetzalcoatl didn’t know was that the delicious liquid was “octli“ or “pulque“
An intoxicating drink which had yet to be discovered.
