WHY DO CHILDREN NEED ROLE MODELS ?
A positive role model serves as an example–inspiring children to live meaningful lives.
Role models show young people how to live with integrity, optimism, hope, determination, and compassion. They play an essential part in a child’s positive development.
Role models come into young people’s lives in a variety of ways. They are educators, civic leaders, mothers, fathers, clergy, peers, and ordinary people encountered in everyday life.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS ⛔
Role models can also have negative impacts. The American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry suggests parents speak to their children about role models and the qualities they possess
Many teenagers are following them and setting them as their role models.
By the time children become adolescents, they should be able to differentiate the positive and negative behaviors of the people they admire. Most often, when role models embrace inappropriate behaviors, they lose their ability to inspire others. However, if a child becomes significantly attached to a role model’s ideology, power, or popularity, the young person may believe the negative behavior is acceptable

Most of their songs are about hope in life and setting your own goals and trusting your self and so many other topics .

- Teach children that failure is necessary for success.
- Encourage youth to participate in initiative-building activities, those they choose for themselves because it gives them internal rather than external rewards.
- Help young people know the difference between good grades and internal strengths.
- Talk with youth about inspirational heroes from movies and books. Heroes show children how to overcome a variety of life challenges and encourage a growth mindset from an early age.
