Igneous rocks

BASALT
hard, dark coloured rock containing small minerals
ANDESITE
grey rock with bigger minerals
RHYOLITE
a light coloured rock rich in quartz
This type of rocks solidifiesunder the surface of the earth.They have time to solidify,so big minerals were formed. Each extrusive rock has its intrusive pair.
They originate inside the earth where they are under great pressure. They form when molten rock cools and solidifies(megszilárdul). Crystals form on cooling and the rocks are called crystalline rocks.

Over the years volcanic rocks were broken down by weathering.The small parts called debris were solved and deposited in the sea, then they compacted and turned into rock.
