The Coureurs worked independantly in the Fur Trade.

Lots of Merchants made their living off of the fur trade, and traded with the Innu.

They travelled between the fur trades and the great lakes

It means 'Runner of the woods" meaning that the some of the men run into the forest to join the fur trade with the First Nations

They are people who run shops like blacksmiths, shoemakers, masons, bakers and butchers.

And eventually they went further west.

Soldiers

A seigneury helped an office represent an opportunity to save his life.

The King wanted all of the officers to settle in New France and he offered them seigneuries and that made the soldiers feel better

Many of the soldiers came to New France to defend the colony against the Haudenosaunee and the British.

Habitants live and grow all of their grops on Seigneurs and

A Habitant is a farmer who lived on seigneuries

Habitants had to clear the land, plant crops and build a house in order to make it a good seigneur to sell for good money.

Seigneurs or landlords receive seigneuries as a grant from the King of France

Seigneuries are large plots of land that the farmers would live on and farm on

Seigneurs are people who own or look after Seigneuries

The Catholic Church/Clergy

Britain didn't allow Catholics to be a part of the government is one examples of this.

These people called the Jesuits went around telling all the different First Nations to start believe in the catholic faith

People with two different faiths really disliked' each other and discriminated each other.
