Interconnection
UH will help me with learning more about my community and how I can apply what I learn here out in the real world to help others.
I can be benefit my community through helping teach those around me that are struggling (at least at things that are math and science related) and applying my skills to meaningful jobs that help society as a whole.
I benefit through my community connections through having friends that can help get me through things that I am struggling with or do not understand.
Needs
I think I will need to continue to get the mentorship I am getting from my friend along with hopefully continuing to have helpful teachers who seem not to just thing about me in the classroom but also want to help me as a person.
As I said all these processes that come with applying for different things in college will be impediments for me and most likely will follow me as I apple for jobs. For example I want to try and apply for a double major but am unable to really remember all the requirements and when I need to do so.
I have a friend that started college a year before me and went to the same school as me who has been a valuable mentor to me because there are so many signing up processes and requirements that have been very confusing and hard to keep with for me
Effects and Unknowns
If I continue to lose my passion for math I may end up switching entirely to a major in computer science as it seems much more enjoyable for me at the moment. Then I my focus my job hunting in that area rather than in math.
Maybe I could also switch to some sort of strategetically based job/ major like something to do with business and risk since I love doing things involving strategy like playing chess.
