After attending a chocolate convention, hershey wanted to make his own chocolate company. The Hershey kiss was made in 1907, with its signature foil made in 1924. During WWII, Hershey supplied chocolate bars to the military. Him and his wife founded the Hershey Industrial School for boys who were orphans. He ended up using his money to build many other schools, churches, recreational fields, parks, and housing facilities. Milton Hershey worked into his 80's before dying.
