The Louvre museum is one of the largest and most prestigious museums in the world that during the Middle Ages was a fortress and over time it was the residence of the Kings of France and thus has been the scene of 8 centuries of history with collections created by Charles V and Francisco I that were presented to the public since 1793 in the form of an encyclopedia, which are constantly evolving as the opening of the arts of Africa, Oceania and America in 2000 following the creation of the department of Islamic art. Besides that it has 7 departments: oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities. We also find paintings, sculptures, art objects and graphic arts.
