the children were very happy when they realized their shadow was behind them
children learned saw a shadow butterfly and it became a "wow factor" they liked it very much

children can gain cognition development such as cause and effect skills from exploring their shadow
children were also engaging in communication by asking questions
communication was also shown when using new vocabulary such as "shadow" (vocabulary domain/skills)
communication was being shown when children responded to longer sentences and commands from the educator
social development was shown by children engaging with eachother in the small shadow play activity (social intercation)
