What is trust?

Trust defined as the positive perception towards someone in a situation where involving risks.

Team building

Formal activities to improve the team’s development.

Self-directed teams

A cross-functional group work that requires the members to complete tasks that have substantial autonomy over the execution of those tasks.

Virtual teams

Members who operate across space, time and organization boundaries which are linked through the information technologies to achieve the organizational tasks.

Team norms

Shared expectation and informal rules are created in order to regulate the team members’ behavior.

Team cohesion

A cognitive and emotional process where to attract people feelings towards the team and their motivation to remain the members.

There few influences I team cohesion such as; the member similarity, team size and member interaction.

Techniques to improve the teams’ effectiveness

Constructive conflicts –allow conflict on task rather than on people.

Rules of brainstorming – speak freely, do not criticize, provide more ideas, build on others’ ideas.

Electronic brainstorming – network computer are important in order to submit and share some of the creative ideas.
