If one of your parents has this genetic defect, you are 50% chances of inheriting it (Delgado A.2018)
PATHOPHYSIOLOGY

Other regions including the globus pallidus, thalumus, subthalmic nucleus, substantia nigra and cerebellum shows varying degrees of atropy depending on the pathologic grade
In neostriatum gross atropy of the caudate nucleus and patumen is accompanied by selectineuronal and astrongliosis (Revilla, Benbandis, 2019)
