Things I Know to be true
Themes
Loss
The characters on the play had lost someone they
loved deeply, their mother, and I could feel their grief through
their portraying of emotions
Coming of Age
The characters, especially Rosie and Mia, went through a coming of age where they were able to re-discover themselves as a new person
Forgiveness
The characters had to learn to forgive their loves ones for everything they have done wrong and to also forgive themselves.
Love + Hate
The characters both loved and hated each other throughout their conflicts, but at the end, they all realised that hate, in the very end, is useless, and they should focus on love instead
Feelings
Anxious
- I felt anxious and nervous, because I was anticipating the events that were going to happen next and how each character would be affected by it.
Frustration
- I felt frustration for what Ben had did during the stressful times his mother was in, and I was frustrated because that he had toke away all of his mother's money that was for her to relax and have a well-deserved vacation.
Discovery
- I felt as if I had discovered a completely new point of view towards life and how life worked. I had discovered and understood how life will always end and it will go on.
