        Girl Defined acknowledges the shame associated with female sexuality created by gender essentialism.

        Girl Defined frames talking openly about sex as talking openly about sin.
        
        Girl Defined cites James 5:16: “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”

        Sex is not personal, but rather an essential tool to connect with God. Girl Defined teaches that sex is only acceptable within this context.
        
        Outside of the covenant of Husband and Wife, God and Christian, sex is sin.
