: Compare how some celebrations are similar or different among countries

: Discuss elements that cause people to celebrate through out history with evidences.

Presentation
: Create a flow chart together about what they have researched and learned. They need to do presentation about what they have learned.
12 students who have some knowledge about the topic
Activity 2
: I will divide them into three groups and each group discusses why people celebrate and what they do during celebrations.
They can also share celebrations in their own countries.

: They do research about some unique celebrations that they didn't know before and take notes of the new information
They can compare celebrations around the world.

: They watch a video about celebrations around the world, and they write summaries after watching it.

Presentation
: They create their own celebration and have a presentation about it. They need to explain the purpose of their celebration and what people do in terms of food, clothes, games, music, and dance.
They can choose the method of presentation using powerpoint, blog, poster, video that they made, etc
Five students who appeared to have limited knowledge about the topic
Activity 2
: They also need to learn some country names and a few important holidays around the world
Important holidays: Christmas, New year's day, Thanksgiving, Easter, Children's day, etc
Activity 3
: They watch a video that explains about celebrations around the world in easy language and lots of visuals.
They talk to teacher about what they have learned through the video. What involves with celebration? dance, music, special clothes, food, people gathering, gifts, etc

Activity 1
: They go over the list of key vocabulary together.
Key words: culture, celebration, religion, clothes, special meal, reason, location
The instruction of the project is broken down to step 1, 2, 3 and it contains lots of visuals and examples.
Presentation
: They create their own celebration and examples will be given to them. Teacher sits with them and encourage them to create it. They can explain their celebrations with drawing pictures or collecting pictures from the Internet, if they are not able to write paragraphs.
