COULOMB'S LAW
Unit of charge : Coulomb, C. The proportionality constant in Coulomb's Law is k=9x10^9 Nm^2C^-2
F=kq1q2/r^2 states that the magnitude of the electrostatic force between two points charges is proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
Electric charges & conservation of charges
Principal of conservation of charges states that the total charge in an isolated system is conserved ( constant ).

Q= ne where Q = electric charge, n =number of electron, e=charge of one electron (1.6x10^-19 C)

GAUSS LAW
-
If there are no charges enclosed by a surface, the net electric flux remains zero.It means the number of electric field lines entering the surface is equal to the electric field leaving the surface.
-
For a closed surface outward flux is taken to be positive while inward flux is taken to be negative.
Electric flux is a measure of flow of electric field through a surface. It is equal to the dot product of an area vector and electric field.
-
The total flux with a closed Gaussian surface is 1/ε0 times the charge enclosed by the closed surface. Φ=∫E.dA = Q(enclosed)/ ε0
ELECTRIC POTENTIAL
For a point charge and a system of changes, V=kQ/r or V=Q/4πε0r
