Nursing Intervention
Stress the strict hand washing after coughing or touching surfaces
Manage hyperthemia
Teach how to cough and sneeze properly
Give health education base on transmission
Maintian respiratory isolation i.e give face masks
Monitor O2 saturation to exclude possible hypoxia
Check the vital signs regularly especially temperature
Evaluation
Temperature subsides
Normal breathing patterns were restored
Elderly patient shows understanding about the disease
Elderly patient is able to prevent spread of infection
